The safety of our patients and their families is our top priority.  Due to the H1N1 influenza virus, Fairview Health Services is limiting visitors to all inpatient units at our hospitals

• University of Minnesota Medical Center 
• University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital
• Fairview Southdale Hospital
• Fairview Ridges Hospital
• Fairview Lakes Medical Center
• Fairview Northland Medical Center

Effective through the flu season these new limitations are:

• Visit only within visiting hours
• A patient’s children, brothers and sisters may visit if they are at least 5 years old
• Other visitors must be at least 16 years old
• Patients may have up to four visitors at a time
• Visitors must wash their hands or use hand sanitizer often
• Do not visit if you are sick or someone in your household is sick
• If you visit The Birthplace or children’s units, we will check you for flu-like illness
