Gary's life changed forever when he experienced a stroke at age 53. An old-car hobbyist who enjoyed restoring Volkswagen Beetles, Gary is now a peer visitor who spends time with patients who have experienced a stroke and their families.

Because Gary was treated at Fairview Southdale Hospital's Primary Care Stroke Center, he understands patient fears and does his best to prepare stroke survivors for what he or she can expect next.
