In 2006, Fairview Southdale Hospital was recognized by the Commission on Cancer as offering the very best in interdisciplinary cancer care and received its prestigious Outstanding Achievement Award. Only the top 6 percent of all cancer programs receive this award, following an on-site evaluation by a physician surveyor.
