Named a Primary Stroke Center in 2004, the stroke program is a leader in stroke prevention and treatment. This comprehensive program is second to none. Led by an exceptional team of physicians, nurses, and clinicians, the stroke program uses advanced technology combined with years of clinical expertise to ensure our patients receive the best care possible.
Treatments we offer
Our interdisciplinary stroke team provides a full continuum of comprehensive stroke care to address the needs of our patients and their families in a caring, thorough manner. We provide:
- Emergency medical care for people experience acute stroke;
- Neurology;
- Neuro critical care;
- Neurosurgery ;
- Neurointerventional radiology;
- tPA;
- Carotid artery surgery;

Stroke after care programs that include classes for stroke survivors, stroke Tai Chi and more;
- Peer visitors.
Stroke symptoms
Strokes are preventable, and knowing the warning signs can reduce their severity:
- Sudden one-sided weakness, numbness or paralysis;
- Blurred or decreased vision in one or both eyes;
- Difficulty speaking or understanding others;
- Dizziness or loss of balance; and/or,
- Severe or unexplained headache.
