The Fairview Southdale Hospital Weight Loss Surgery Support Group is a patient-lead forum that meets monthly at the hospital. Facilitated by our staff, the support group shares experiences, provides encouragement,and education and is open to those who have had weight loss surgery, are scheduled for surgery or are considering surgery.  Join us any time. No reservations required. Support group meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month, 6 - 7:30 p.m., in Fairview Southdale Hospital's Au Fait Nursing Education Room, located on the lower level of the hospital.

Wednesday, Aug.19  –  If you are interested in a clothes swap – bring some clothes to change out.  We will also be just using our time to talk and learn from one another.

Wednesday, Sept. 16 – Physical Therapy will be providing exercise tips and some fun ideas to keep us moving!

Wednesday, Oct. 21 – Julia Reid, PhD LP, Clinical Psychologist from Fairview Counseling Centers,  topic will be defined as the date approaches.

Wednesday, Nov. 18 –  Richard H. Tholen, M.D., F.A.C.S. , will provide information on post operative plastic surgery options.

Wednesday, Dec. 16 – Annual Holiday Gathering.  Bring a dish to pass. Beverages and tableware provided.

Park in the Skyway ramp located on the corner of 65th and France and walk over the skyway to the hospital.  Take the elevators, to your left, or the stairs The conference rooms  two floors down  to the lower level.  Take the first hallway to the left,and follow it to the Au Fait Nursing Education Room, located at the end of the hall.
