Neurosciences Care

Neurosciences is an area of medicine dedicated to life-threatening medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord and nervous system, or the body’s electrical system. Doctors in this area of medicine include neurologists, neurosurgeons and internal medicine doctors who have completed a fellowship in a particular area of interest.

At Fairview Southdale Hospital, we’re proud of our experience in caring for people with complex medical concerns. Our physician partners have advanced training in treating conditions that include brain tumors, stroke, epilepsy and aneurysms. Others specialize in traumatic medical conditions, such as spinal cord and vertebral spine disc injuries or head trauma. We are a Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Center and the Twin Cities' first Level III Trauma Center.
